It has been advised that Rangers should not overspend in order to get Ryan Kent, a free agent who has been connected to Leeds United.
Kent is now free to sign with any team when the transfer window reopens in January after agreeing to end his lucrative deal with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce.
With connections to the former Rangers winger already emerging, clubs could attempt to pursue him now and finalize a deal before then.
Kent’s return to England has been connected to Leeds, while there have also been rumors of a return to Ibrox.
However, Scottish reporter Mark Guidi is wary of Rangers re-signing Kent.
He believes that the Gers must adhere to their pay budget cuts, and he would only sign Kent if the winger was prepared to do so.
Guidi stated on Go Radio that “I’m sure Ryan Kent will have offers.”
Fair enough, I would do it if he is prepared to return to Rangers and fit into the pay scale.
“However, I wouldn’t risk everything to win him over.”
Since Kent didn’t have any effect while in Turkey, he was a complete failure for Fenerbahce.
Despite giving the winger an opportunity in the summer, Jose Mourinho decided Kent should leave the Yellow Canaries.
