Have you heard the news yet? Georgia football travels to Texas this weekend to face the country’s top-ranked team, the Longhorns.

Texas provides numerous hurdles that Georgia will have to face this Saturday. I believe everyone is aware of the Longhorns’ offensive firepower, but one aspect that is sometimes overlooked is their great defense. In fact, Texas possesses the top-ranked defense in the nation.

While that figure may worry you, considering their opponents and their talent (or lack thereof), you can immediately see how the Longhorns have the top-ranked defense this season.

The above post clearly demonstrates how Texas has managed to have the top-ranked defense. All six of their opponents have had poor offensive performances. Three of them are not even in the top 100, and the best offensive they’ve faced is No. 67.

I’m sure you see where I’m going with this, so do you want to predict where Georgia’s offense ranks this season?

The Bulldogs will enter this game with the nation’s 28th-ranked offense. That is by no means an outstanding offense statistically, but it is far superior to any other club Texas has faced.

So I believe the Longhorns will struggle to slow down the Georgia offense on Saturday. We all witnessed what Carson Beck and the offense were capable of last week in their win over Mississippi State, when Beck delivered a career performance, but can they replicate that on the biggest stage in college football? Not only do I think they can, but I believe they will. I believe Texas will have no response for Georgia’s offense and will be stunned by their talent.

In my opinion, this game will be decided by Georgia’s ability to slow down the Texas offense, which is now ranked seventh in the USA. If they can do that, I believe the Bulldogs will secure a major win on Saturday.
