Holdout defensive end Haason Reddick has allegedly been granted permission by the Jets to pursue a trade.
Reddick just switched agents. This followed rumors that Reddick’s former lawyer had negotiated a revised contract that would have given him a pay raise and waived the fines he had accrued. According to reports, Reddick declined it since he wants a long-term contract.
Whether a new team will accept a long-term contract with him is uncertain. According to previous reports, when his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, put him on the trade block in the spring, other teams were put off by the demands of his contract.
One of the strangest stories in recent NFL history may be coming to a close.
