Essendon: Architect Steve Domoney-designed entertainer’s paradise to join suburb hot list

A sophisticated house designed by acclaimed architect Steve Domoney with a focus on outdoor entertaining is set to become one of Essendon’s most expensive homes.

The 14 Monica St abode featuring an 11m-long pool, eight-seater spa and kitchen in the backyard has a $6.3m-$6.7m asking range.

 

Public records show that only four Essendon house have sold for $6m or higher with the suburb’s $9.05m record price set by 65 McCracken St last year.

Matthews Moonee Valley’s Robert Mohovich describes the 2020-built residence as “sophisticated, modern and contemporary”.

“I think it appeals to a wide market, it’s a style that doesn’t date quickly or easily,” Mr Mohovich says.

“A family built it for themselves, they wanted to create a comfortable family home with no wasted space.”
