Mohammed Kudus was taken off the field at halftime for tactical reasons, according to Julen Lopetegui, as West Ham and Brentford drew 1-1 on Saturday, September 28.

The 24-year-old winger did not play in the second half after being heavily involved in the first forty-five minutes, when he threatened Mark Flekken’s goal and raced down the left flank.

Rather, Carlos Soler took Kudus’ place before the half began, and Emerson also made way when he was changed for Konstantinos Mavropanos following his early yellow card.

Journalist Dom Smith of the Evening Standard posted on X on September 28 and stated: “Lopetegui says he took Kudus off tactically.” not connected to an injury.

For tactical reasons, Mohammed Kudus was substituted during West Ham United’s draw with Brentford.

Whether Kudus was playing at his peak or not, it looks like a very dangerous move to hook one of the Hammers’ most dangerous wingers right before the half.

It is safe to conclude that, with zero goal contributions in the league, fans have not seen the same Kudus who exploded at the London Stadium last season.

Along with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta, he became a vital element of the attacking line in the Premier League last season with eight goals and six assists.
Nonetheless, Lopetegui must maximize his potential if the Hammers are to move up the Premier League standings and out of the relegation zone after only collecting five of a possible eighteen points.

The London team’s next matchup is against Ipswich Town, which is expected to be a must-win given their next matches against Manchester United and Tottenham.

Fortunately for Lopetegui, he has Crysencio Summerville, a recent addition, at his disposal who should be able to capitalize on Kudus’ poor performance in the upcoming games.

The anticipated timing of Niclas Fullkrug’s injury return has been disclosed, along with additional West Ham news.

After the 1-1 draw with Brentford on September 28, Jamie O’Hara implored a West Ham United supporter to exercise patience with Julen Lopetegui.

Bryan Mbuembo gave the Hammers the lead in the first minute of play at the GTECH Community Stadium, but Tomas Souceck’s goal in the second half allowed the visitors to salvage a draw.

Along with co-host Jason Cundy, O’Hara reviewed the outcome live on talkSPORT on September 28 at 6:24 p.m., and in response to a caller, he gave his opinion on Lopetegui.

“So you have a new manager, Lopetegui, who is attempting to alter the team dynamic and your style of play,” he remarked. These players find it very easy to revert to their previous style of play because it provides them with a safety net.

It takes time for anything to click since they’re attempting to play a new style and there are new players you’re trying to get used to. Thus, while things aren’t going well right now, you have to be patient.
