Following his performance in the 2-0 victory over Malmo, Cyriel Dessers of Rangers has left Barry Ferguson in awe.

Nedim Bajrami’s goal in the first minute set the tone for the visitors thanks to the Nigerian striker’s antics.

The team led by Philippe Clement gained momentum throughout the match, and it was reasonable to argue that they ought to have scored more.

“Setting the tone by pressuring Malmo into a mistake within the first minute of play set the tone,” Ferguson told the Daily Record. “Cyriel Dessers’ brilliant one-two off the post allowed his teammate to score!”

Really, that quick start revealed a lot about their mentality. The team became more confident as they believed they could go out and enforce their style.

This season, the new players may have drawn the most attention, but Dessers has put up some amazing performances.

Despite having a respectable goal scoring record, he received a lot of criticism the previous season and was even connected to a move.

If he had left, some fans would not have cared, but he stayed and is guiding the team expertly this season.
Due to Danilo’s injury and Hamza Igamane’s ongoing adjustment to life in Scotland, Dessers has taken on the role of a dependable finisher.

Even though Clement has more hurdles ahead of him, the team seems to be playing to his strengths, and things are looking up for him.

With any luck, they can continue to get better and exert pressure on Celtic, who will eventually lose ground in the standings.

In other Rangers news, the team has called several meetings in anticipation of an upcoming behind-the-scenes gathering.
