Due to their nearly excess of players deserving of starting positions, the New York Knicks are among the NBA’s deepest teams. Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report recently detailed his thoughts on the greatest and worst landing destinations for the top trade targets in the NBA. Julius Randle, a star player for the Knicks, believes that sitting him on the bench would be the best outcome for his club.

“Technically, the best move for Julius Randle would probably just be going from the New York Knicks’ starting five to the bench,” Bailey states. “Obviously, he’s a starting-level talent, but New York stumbled into something magical with Jalen Brunson as a heliocentric playmaker surrounded by shooting and defensive versatility.” Even though Randle missed half of the season due to a shoulder injury, the Knicks managed to get to the second round of the playoffs. The group may then consider sticking with what has been successful.

OG As the strongest wing on the club, Anunoby would probably take over at power forward if Randle came off the bench for the Knicks. Mikal Bridges would be at the three position, Donte DiVincenzo at the two, and Jalen Brunson and Mitchell Robinson, of course, completing the starting five. Although the Knicks will probably keep Randle starting to see how he fits in with their new lineup, they might want to consider having him come off the bench for a few games.
