The Eagles have just two players listed as injured to begin the week, and both of them are wide receivers.

DID NOT TAKE PART

A.J. Brown, WR (Hamstring)

• Johnny Wilson, WR, hamstring injury

It should be noted that the Eagles’ sole practice before Sunday’s matchup with the Saints was on Wednesday. The injury report from Wednesday is merely an estimate based on a complete practice.

Prior to the Falcons game, throughout the week of practice, both Brown and Wilson were listed as injured. Wilson was able to suit up, but Brown was unable to play.

On Wednesday, head coach Nick Sirianni clarified what it meant for Brown to be out of the offense.

Since A.J. is such a great player, part of his big-play potential is unavoidably lost. However, shifting players around is an other issue altogether, according to Sirianni. “It doesn’t matter if you’re running a different play or a different character in the play than A.J. would have run.

“But it’s true that losing a talent like A.J. Brown will always have an impact on you. However, I felt that even if the offense’s efficiency wasn’t as high as it needed to be in the red zone, the players who had to step up and produce in A.J.’s absence did a fantastic job.
