PICTURED: Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose leaving same rehearsal studio as AC/DC band members amid claims he’ll replace Brian Johnson as frontman on tour
Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has been pictured leaving a rehearsal studio with AC/DC seeming to confirm rumours he will replace Brian Johnson as frontman for the remainder of the band’s tour.
While claims remain unsubstantiated, with neither side commenting, the 54-year-old was spotted leaving a rehearsal studio in Atlanta where the rockers were rehearsing wearing a black beanie.
Sauntering out of the studio in a black and white printed T-shirt and ripped Fabric Brand jeans, Axl looked every inch the rocker as he smiled to fans, amid reports he will replace Brian who resigned earlier this year after losing his hearing.
Reports insist he will step into 68-year-old’s Brian’s shoes for the remainder of the last leg of the tour through America from April 8.
Axl is reportedly on the brink of announcing he will join the group for its final U.S. tour dates, with an American radio host claiming his new role is ‘all but a done deal’.
According to Atlanta Radio 100.5 DJ Jason Bailey, he was also spotted in the city at the same time as the band after being ‘flown in’ while they auditioned replacements for Brian.
‘This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with the AC/DC group, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the 10 remaining shows. All 10, including Atlanta,’ said Jason, citing a ‘very good source’.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted representatives for the musicians for clarification.
Earlier this month, AC/DC released a group statement announcing they had postponed the remaining 1ten shows of their tour, amid fears Brian was losing his hearing.
