Terengganu FC says report on head coach’s death is fake
KUALA TERENGGANU: The management of Terengganu Football Club (TFC) Sdn Bhd have denied a claim that their head coach Tomislav Steinbrucker had died in a road accident.
A statement from the club said the news posted on a website is fake because the coach was currently conducting training at the TFC Training Centre in Gong Badak here.
“The news spreading about TFC head coach Streinbruckner’s death is fake and it is absolutely not true.
“The management is wondering how such news could be written and what had been the motive of the writer to upload such a thing.
“This is because this evening, Tommy (Steinbruckner) is conducting training session in Gong Badak to prepare the club (for the FA Cup) second quarter final match against Sabah FC on Saturday.
“We are disappointed and hope such fake news does not recur. At the same time, we hope that fans do not spead such fake news.
“This is avoid any disruption to the players’ focus in their mission towards the FA Cup semi finals following their 4-0 victory in the first quarter final,” it said as reported by Berita Harian.
