2024 NRL Signings Tracker: Doueihi staying put; Dolphins duo extend
After making his long-awaited return from injury, Adam Doueihi has put pen to paper on a one-year extension with the Wests Tigers.
Having played his first game in 14 months following a devastating knee injury suffered in Round 6 of last year, Doueihi will extend his stay with Wests Tigers until at least the end of 2025 having joined the club from the Rabbitohs in 2020.
“It’s been a very long road back from injury for Adam and it was so pleasing to see him out there last weekend,” Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson said.
“He is a tremendously talented footballer whose resilience and mental toughness cannot be questioned. And more importantly, he is a very good person.”
The Dolphins have locked up hooker Jeremy Marshall-King through until at least the end of the 2028 NRL season as well as winger Jack Bostock.
Already contracted through to the end of next year, the two-Test Kiwi has now signed on for a further three seasons after joining the Dolphins as an inaugural player in 2023 while Bostock has signed a new extension which includes 2026-27.
Dolphins’ chief executive Terry Reader said Marshall-King is one of the underrated players in the NRL and labelled his extension as a major coup.
“It is fair to say that people are quickly realising how important he is to our team,” Reader said. “His contract extension is wonderful news for our members and fans, and a key part to setting the future of our club’s spine.”
“It is easy to see why we were so keen to give Jack a chance in an NRL system and he has taken every opportunity presented to him,” also said Reader.
It follows news of the Dolphins picking up former Blues and Mate Ma’a Tonga representative Tevita Pangai junior for the remainder of the 2024 NRL season.
Mitch Barnett has signed a two-year extension that keeps him at the Warriors until the end of the 2027 season. Joining the club from Newcastle last season, the 30-year-old was originally signed on a three-year deal to the end of 2025 but has now extended with the New Zealand club for the coming three seasons.
The Titans have signed Wallabies flyhalf Carter Gordon for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The former Melbourne Rebels playmaker has played eight times for the Wallabies and made his international debut against the Springboks in 2023.
Emerging forward Trey Mooney will remain at the Raiders until at least the end of the 2027 season after signing a three-year contract extension.
The Sea Eagles have signed forward Nathan Brown to a contract extension through to the end of 2026. Brown joined the Sea Eagles on a train and trial deal at the start of this season and worked his way into Anthony Seibold’s top squad, signing a contract extension for the coming two seasons.
Penrith have signed Asu ‘AJ’ Kepaoa effective immediately, while junior Ativalu Lisati will depart the club to take up an offer with the Storm. After being granted an immediate release from Wests Tigers, the 24-year-old Kepaoa has signed with the Panthers until the end of the 2025 season.
The Roosters have re-signed outside back Junior Pauga for a further two seasons, securing his place in the squad until the end of 2027.
