Guns N’ Roses reunion 2016: Axl Rose and Slash expected to return for tour

First The Stone Roses, then Busted, and now, rockers Guns N’ Roses are expected to announce a reunion tour.

Frontman Axl Rose and guitarist Slash might be known for their feuding, but according to a music insider at Dish Nation, they have “verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band.

“The live shows is where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings,” the report speculated. “Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities.

“Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days. Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect.”

Rumours of a comeback have been swirling since September but as of yet there has been no official word on proceedings. The rumours first began when Slash’s friend and a boss at the Universal Studios theme park John Murdy revealed that the musician had been “talking again” with Rose.

Rose is currently the only remaining member of the original Guns N’Roses line-up of the Eighties and Nineties that brought fans “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City”.

Slash, guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagen and drummer Steven Adler have all been pursuing their own separate projects since the group’s last show in Argentina on 17 July 1993.

Slash recently said that there is no longer any “animosity” between the former bandmates. “Over time we all just got sick and tired of the black cloud,” he said. “The biggest thing that happens when you have a break-up that is less than harmonious is you build up a bad energy because of the distance. The bad feelings get exaggerated.”

To date, Guns N’Roses have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
