Misfits Announce New Jersey Reunion Show With Original Lineup
By Arielle Gordon
The “Original” Misfits have announced an upcoming tour date in their home state of New Jersey, their first in the state in over 35 years. The band first reunited the original lineup, which includes original members Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only, as well as Danzig’s brother, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein on guitar, for Riot Fest 2016. The Original Misfits have also toured with former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo. They performed their second set of reunion gigs in Los Angeles and Las Vegas last December.
The band will stop at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on May 19. Suicidal Tendencies and Murphy’s Law have been billed as opening acts. Tickets are on sale to the general public (after a Citi presale) this Friday, February 2.
Last year, Danzig, fronted by Glenn Danzig, released their eleventh studio album Black Laden Crown. The Misfits, without Danzig, released a 2016 EP, Friday the 13th; their previous full-length album, The Devil’s Rain, was released in 2011.

Donald Trump drew fierce criticism for making a crass comment about the wife of Corey Comperatore, the former fire chief who was killed by gunfire while trying to shield his family during the attempt on the former president’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month.
Trump claimed during a rally speech in Harrisburg on Wednesday that a friend of his had presented Helen Comperatore, Corey’s wife, with a check for $1 million and that crowdfunding efforts were now in the millions.
“But you know what?” Trump said to supporters. “Corey’s wife said, ‘I’d rather have my husband.’”
“Isn’t that good?” Trump continued. “I know a lot of wives that would not say that, I’m sorry. They would not say that.”
The audience lapped up the comment and laughed.
“But no, it’s a great family. He was a great man. He was a brave man,” said Trump, who later led a moment of silence for Comperatore.

Critics on X, formerly Twitter, accused Trump of turning Comperatore’s death into a punch line.
Trump is indeed a sociopath. Imagine saying shìt like this while the deceased man’s family is in mourning. Horrifying.
