Steven Van Zandt teases future Bruce Springsteen tours despite retirement rumours

“I think we can play every summer for evermore, man”

Bruce Springsteen‘s guitarist Steven Van Zandt has teased more shows for the future, despite recent rumours that the music legend could soon be retiring.

During a new interview with The Telegraph, the E Street Band musician and Sopranos actor responded to speculation that The Boss’ current tour may be his last.

The outlet noted “a narrative vein of ­looming mortality” in Springsteen’s recent studio albums and live shows – but Van Zandt suggested that the 74-year-old icon isn’t done just yet.

“You never know,” he said. “I mean, we treat every show like it could be the last show, and we’ve been doing that for 50 years. But the audience is still there, and we can see them getting younger every year.”
