Grimsby Town contract situation in full as 13 players up for renewal ahead of non-league return

You can have your say on which players you want Paul Hurst to keep this summer as the Town boss plans for life back in the National League

With just one game remaining for Grimsby Town this season, it’s almost decision time for Paul Hurst and his squad.

The Mariners boss will of course be planning for life back in the National League this summer, following the club’s relegation back to non-league.

Hurst will have plenty of big decisions to make, and he looks set to have a big rebuild on his hands – he’s already indicated he’ll be keeping himself busy on the transfer front.

“In a lot of ways I’m not sure I’m going to have much of a summer. I guess with Covid, that might prove a bit easier!” Hurst told GrimsbyLive.

“I certainly expect to be busy. It’s been quite quiet in general, but even now it’s picked up a little bit in terms of being contacted.

“What I’ve said to those people is, although we know our situation now, I’m not going to be rushed into making rash decisions. There has to be patience on my part, and if there’s something that’s available and they want to make something happen, then we’ll act upon it.

“But ultimately, we have to be patient. In my opinion, the recruitment has to be better than what it was.”

That recruitment looks set to be vital, with 13 players set to see their deals expire this summer – and even those under contract might not be assured of their places in next season’s squad.

Here’s a look at the Mariners’ contract situation heading into the off-season – and you can have your say on which out-of-contract players should be retained below…
