Where Nebraska ranks in the Big Ten for transfer portal departures
One of the biggest changes to college football in the last several years has been the introduction of the transfer portal. The portal has impacted every team in one way or another.
CBS Sports recently compiled a list ranking the recent departures of every team in the Big Ten Conference. Of the 18 teams in the conference, only one team did not reach double digits, the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Yes, Nebraska led the Big Ten in the fewest departures via the transfer portal. Two of the more significant departures were quarterbacks Chubba Purdy and Jeff Sims.
Sims recently committed to playing next season at Arizona State. Chubba Purdy transferred to San Jose State but switched his commitment to Nevada after Arizona hired SJSU coach Brent Brennan.
