Taylor Swift leaves fans devastated over Reputation announcement after clues dropped

Taylor Swift fans have been begging for the pop star to release her version of Reputation. She’s been dropping some massive clues about her upcoming song release plans

Taylor Swift left fans devastated after she failed to make a major announcement during her final show of 2023.

The pop star continues to rerecord the early days of her discography, releasing Taylor’s Versions. This time, fans were looking for signs that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) would be announced at the Eras Tour Rio show. They were wrong.

Despite the star fumbling over her words and seemingly calling the Era’s tour ‘Reputation’ she stopped short of announcing a rerecord of Reputation leaving fans heartbroken.

One said: “Clearly no one told Taylor Swift that she was supposed to announce reputation tv tonight.”

Another said: “I’m so disappointed I really really am 🙁 I was so hoping that Taylor Swift would announce her Reputation Taylors version album but I guess she’s not going to do that this year.”

A third added: “How dare Taylor Swift talk about the reputation tour and then not sing I did something bad or not announce Reputation, that is so cruel of her. My rep heart can’t take this anymore.”

Taylor’s album rerecording started with a release of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) followed by Red (Taylor’s Version). After a brief hiatus from rerecords to release Midnights, she put out Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). Then the countdown started for 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and fans were in a frenzy tracking down Easter Eggs. Now, that the album has come and past, it is Reputation’s time to shine.

The last album to rerecord is her self-titled debut album which was her introduction to music through country. Details on when to expect the debut album are unclear at this time.

Taylor chose to rerecord her albums after the masters to the originals were sold to Scooter Braun. The music industry mogul had, according to Taylor, ‘bullied’ her, meaning she was unhappy with the business move. From then on, Taylor felt as though her music was stolen from her and she was searching for ways to reclaim her work. She was even barred from performing her own music at the VMAs because it would be considered ‘re-recording’ her work before she was contractually ‘allowed.’
