According to Kris Boyd, Philippe Clement may be ignoring the Rangers press officers who called his remarks during the Aberdeen game “garbage.”

Following a loss to the Dons on Wednesday, October 30, which left his team nine points outside the top two in the Scottish Premiership, the manager of the Gers has come under fire at Ibrox.
Boyd had criticized the Belgian for his remarks to the media at Pittodrie after the game, and this 2-1 setback was the final straw.

“Trust me, Rangers supporters are tired of your guff and there is no way back,” he wrote in a column for the Scottish Sun on October 31. For me, the last insult came last night at Pittodrie. To say that it’s among the greatest performances of the season was genuinely staggering

“I’m sorry, but you’re deluded if you believe that’s what the fans want to hear when their team is nine points behind Celtic, let alone Aberdeen, at the top of the table.”Nobody is interested. Why the press police haven’t stopped you from going out with this nonsense is beyond me. Or perhaps they have, and you have chosen to disregard that counsel.

Philippe Clement’s remarks on Rangers versus Aberdeen are criticized by Kris Boyd.

The Belgian has had some difficult times throughout his tenure at Ibrox, but following the most recent loss, things haven’t been as dire as they are now.

Supporters’ reactions in the stands were so devoid of positive messages that they were far from appreciative.

There wasn’t much to entice the away supporters to leave their seats at Pittodrie, save from Nedim Bajrami’s goal early in the second half.

Having said that, it was extremely perplexing that Clement called the performance “one of our better performances this season with the new squad” [The Scottish Sun, 30 October].
Recent weeks have seen some encouraging performances, such as the 4-0 victory over FCSB, which was significantly superior to the one against Aberdeen.

Supporters, who simply want an honest assessment from a manager who is under a lot of pressure, have not taken kindly to these remarks.

In other Rangers news, Alan Brazil provided an update on investments because the board is opposed to power sharing.
