The New York Jets defeated the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football, ending their recent streak of losing games. Both sides of the ball contributed to the Jets’ 21–13 triumph. Following the game, Pat McAfee, who frequently features Aaron Rodgers on his show, gave a brief statement regarding his current thoughts on the Jets.

The Jets appeared to have finally figured it out and played a full game. Both Garrett Wilson and Davante had touchdowns, Wilson scoring two, while Rodgers threw for 211 yards and three.

Throughout the game, the defense harassed C.J. Stroud, sacking him eight times. It is hoped that the Jets can continue to play as the season goes on, as every week feels like a must-win.

Since their previous victory, the Jets have experienced a lot. Haason Reddick returned to the team after a lengthy absence, they traded for an All-Pro wide receiver, and they sacked their head coach. Since the receiver was acquired, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams have finally connected on a touchdown. Following the game, he offered his initial thoughts on the victory.

“First Jet victory.” It feels fantastic, dude. Many more will follow. Adams said, “Let’s get it.”
With a one-handed grab to end the game that initially wasn’t ruled a touchdown but was later overturned by the referees following a review, Garrett Wilson likely had the catch of the year. Wilson discussed his thoughts on the catch after the game.
“That’s a good one, that’s a good one,” I said. “And it must count,” Wilson remarked. “You guys are gassing me up too early,” I recall telling each of them. This must count, everyone. Let’s relax. When it was all said and done, I said, “Yeah, okay, you guys can tell me anything now.”

You’re not really thinking about anything, to be honest. How am I going to create a play? Wilson went on. “Give me an opportunity to perform. Aaron [Rodgers] had faith in my abilities. You feel as though you have no choice but to go and try to do what you can once the ball has started to rise. I’m relieved that they changed the call because I wasn’t positive. The play was cool. We required it. Ultimately, I take great satisfaction in being there for us when we need it.
