NRL excellent calls Nathan Cleary’s “better half” is Mitchell Moses.
The Kangaroos will play the first Test match against England in little over two weeks, and both Moses and Cleary have been added to the 24-man travelling team for the Ashes. There is a probable three-way competition for the number seven shirt, with Cleary and Moses joined on the trip by Tom Dearden of the North Queensland Cowboys, while Cameron Munster of the Melbourne Storm is scheduled to start at five-eighth.
Although Cleary and Moses are the front-runners, Rogers stated on SEN1170 radio that he thinks Moses is a superior halfback because of his running and kicking skills as well as his elite level abilities. “I’m a huge Nathan Cleary fan, I’m not a Nathan Cleary hater by any stretch, I just think Mitchell Moses is a better halfback than him,” Rogers stated on the radio. He is the best player on the field right now, in my opinion, and he has a better kicking and running game.
“Take a look at his work at the NSW level. The club where he has been has been struggling. He brings in a coach who makes some important decisions, moves some players on, surrounds himself with capable individuals, and we witness his play toward the conclusion of the season. He is a strange individual. “We see when he plays at the elite level and when he is in the New South Wales team, and the difference he makes in that team.” Incredulous that the Dally M Medalist had lost his Origin jersey to Dylan Edwards, Rogers went on to say that it was comparable to James Tedesco’s predicament.
“I think it’s almost like the Reece Walsh-James Tedesco situation, even though I know Nathan is a gun. This is a “you pick the best man” scenario rather than one in which every player receives a prize, Rogers stated. “I was startled when James Tedesco lost both his Test and New South Wales jerseys. Teddy is superior to Dylan Edwards, even if I am aware that he is a fantastic player. Why he ever lost his jerseys and his position as captain is beyond me. Wembley Stadium in London will host the first Ashes Test on Sunday, October 26 (AEDT). The subsequent Tests will take place in Leeds and Liverpool over the next two weekends.
