Both Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and Kawhi Leonard are being investigated for allegedly evading the salary ceiling.
In response to claims that the Los Angeles Clippers attempted to circumvent the salary ceiling, the NBA is still looking into the matter. Kawhi Leonard, their star, is accused of receiving $28 million for an endorsement arrangement that had no conditions attached, a situation known as a “no-show job.” Since it’s still uncertain how harsh the club’s sanctions could be if the accusations turn out to be accurate, Leonard and the team have disputed all of the charges.
Adam Silver says the All-Star Game will stay in Inglewood
NBA commissioner Adam Silver stated on Monday that the inquiry will not affect the Clippers’ 2026 NBA All-Star Game hosting at the Intuit Dome, their new venue. “There’s no contemplation of moving the All-Star Game,” Silver stated, “and planning for the All-Star Game and the surrounding activities are operating completely independently of the ongoing investigation.”
