One individual is evaluated after a fire breaks out at a house in northeast Miami-Dade.
Florida’s Miami-Dade County — After a fire broke out inside the northeast Miami-Dade home, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials verified that one victim was evaluated by first responders outside their residence. At 4:21 p.m. on Wednesday, the fire was reported close to the 2100 block of Northeast 205th Street, according to MDFR. According to MDFR, firefighters discovered a lot of smoke and fire emanating from the back of the house when they got on the site.
In a Thursday email to Local 10 News, MDFR stated that “crews extended ladders to conduct roof operations, including the use of a cellar nozzle, and deployed hose lines to attack the fire.” “Crews were able to put out the fire, despite the fact that firefighting operations were difficult because of the large number of items inside the house.” No one was admitted to the hospital, however one person was evaluated on the spot. According to MDFR, the cause of the fire is still being looked into.
