WMBB, Bay County, Florida The “Leaning House” on Panama City Beach is rapidly being demolished. The Gulf Drive mansion is already completely demolished.
Hurricane Michael in 2018 and the tornado on January 9, 2024, both caused damage. After a judge ordered the owners to finish the destruction by October 31 or risk a $1,000 daily punishment, the demolition work formally started on Tuesday. According to crews, the entire project should be finished in two weeks. After the leaning house is dismantled, the nearby residences will be examined for damage.
