The first-ever collaboration between Scottish Curling and The Curling Group will provide unprecedented coverage of the origins of curling. The 2026 Scottish Curling Championships, which will take place from February 24 to 28, will be part of an exclusive content-sharing collaboration between Scottish Curling and The Curling Group, following Monday’s granite-shifting Rock Channel announcement.
Highlights from the Scottish Championships, athlete and community profiles showcasing stories from Scotland and the UK, and written, audio, and video coverage are all included in the collaboration agreement. “Our objective is to establish Rock Channel as the new preferred destination for curling enthusiasts, providing them with global access to their favorite sport at any time and from any location,” stated Nic Sulsky, co-founder and CEO of The Curling Group.
“We are committed to transforming Rock Channel into a global center for the sport, bringing together live competitions, top-notch original programming, and classic matchups all in one location as we develop the game and get ready for the debut of Rock League.” As it looks for fresh and innovative ways to promote curlers across the nation, Scottish Curling has been a prominent governing body in the curling world.
With Bruce Mouat and Jenn Dodds fresh off a silver medal at the most recent mixed doubles global curling championships, and Team Mouat winning two world titles in three years, it helps that Scotland is experiencing spectacular success. As the first-ever rink to win four Slams in a single season, Mouat proved unstoppable during the Grand Slam of Curling season last year. Team Mouat has won ten Slam titles in all.
Ross Whyte, the Scottish captain, also enjoyed a breakthrough season after winning his first Slam championship. Teams from Great Britain have qualified for the next Olympics in all three categories. Vincent Bryson, CEO of Scottish Curling, stated, “This is a crucial season for the game, with all eyes on the Olympics and the new Rock League, but closer to home for us it will be the domestic National Championships and the stories and personalities surrounding these great events – all told in our unique Scottish style.”
“It’s a real privilege for Scottish Curling to be partnering with TCG on sharing the news and achievements of these great athletes within the UK and beyond.” Earlier Monday, The Curling Group announced the launch of Rock Channel, a new streaming platform offering free, global access to live and archived Grand Slam of Curling (GSOC) coverage, plus exclusive original programming, features, and more. In addition to original content including GSOC, the soon-to-be-launched Rock League, the Broom Brothers show and the electric Grand Slam of Karaoke Rock Channel will also serve as a global platform for curling federations and rights holders. Scottish Curling is the first federation of what’s expected to be many teaming up with TCG. “We’ve all got a role to play in celebrating the game worldwide – it’s going to be great fun working across the globe to make this happen with TCG,” Bryson said.
