Miami Dolphins star WR Tyreek Hill makes shocking comments after Jets loss: ‘I’m out bro’

The Miami Dolphins have had a roller coaster season that came to an abrupt end on Sunday when they fell to the New York Jets 32-20.

Miami finished (8-9) on the season — and even if they would have pulled off the win against the Jets — would have been eliminated from playoff contention due to the Broncos throbbing the Chiefs.

For the last two seasons, there has been a palpable optimism around the Dolphins and head coach Mike McDaniel, who is known for his innovative high-powered offense — and though they were eliminated in the first round — led Miami to the playoffs the last two years.

But there has been a noticeable shift in 2024, which leaves questions to be answered for the future.

The Dolphins inked starting QB Tua Tagovailoa to a massive contract extension before the 2024 campaign, but when he went down with a concussion earlier in the season and was sideline for four games, Miami’s potent offense turned into the worst in the NFL.

It’s clear Tagovailoa is one of the most important pieces of the offense, but so is Tyreek Hill, who also got rewarded with a significant extension back in August.

The Miami Dolphins agreed to pay the All-Pro receiver $90 million over three years, including $65 million in guaranteed money.

Hill entered the 2024 campaign as one of the top wideouts in the league. He caught 119 passes in both 2022 and 2023 while breaking 1,700 receiving yards in each campaign spent with the Dolphins, including a career-best 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023.

But with all of the turmoil in 2024, Hill will finish his season with just 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns.

In the locker room after the loss to the Jets, Hill didn’t hold back on his desire to possibly change teams in the offseason, making a point to state he was unhappy in Miami.

“I’m opening the door,” Hill told reporters. “I’m out bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to just be out there.”
