The twin sisters Anneka and Leilani Wilson have joined the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs’ 2025 NRLW team, the team is pleased to announce.
The Wilson sisters, who are proud local juniors with St Christophers, come back to Belmore after playing for the Club’s Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership and Tarsha Gale Cup teams.
In the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership, the two had a memorable season in 2024. Leilani was named the NSW Player of the Year, while Anneka led the team in the number. 7 jersey as they advanced Wentworthville to within one game of the Grand Final.
The two were excited to return to the club where their rugby league careers started, according to NRLW Head Coach Blake Cavallaro. I can’t wait to have Anneka and Leilani return to the Club for our first NRLW season,” he said.
After excelling in the lesser grades, they have demonstrated that they are both prepared to move up to the NRLW.
While Leilani is a dominating player in the center and on the edge, Anneka has demonstrated her playmaking skills for several years and will enhance our half stocks.
It’s an opportunity for two of our local juniors to wear the Blue and White in our first season, in addition to being another family bond at The Family Club.”
In addition to congratulating Anneka and Leilani on their accomplishment, the Bulldogs are excited to have them visit the Club for the 2025 preseason.
