Following the distinctive Letters Live format, more special guests will be announced on the evening, and more well-known performers, musicians, and inspirational people will take the stage.
I am honored to be a KOKO Foundation Ambassador with a special focus on the environment, Benedict Cumberbatch said in reference to his position as KOKO Foundation Ambassador.
Seeing firsthand the incredible influence the Foundation has had in the background over the past few years, bringing about tangible and long-lasting change in Camden, has been incredibly motivating. I’m thrilled, motivated, and determined to assist raise awareness of the unique work being done, keep enhancing the community, and expand the foundation’s activities both domestically and internationally.
The Foundation was founded with the intention of creating something truly unique, to contribute to the community that KOKO is a part of—its environment, young people, and the next generation of essential artists, Sophia Pasetti, CEO of The KOKO Foundation, continued.
It is an honor to lead our Foundation on this exciting path, and I am profoundly affected by the impact our efforts are already making. It is truly an honor to have Benedict on board to help us enhance our work, and I am very appreciative of his honesty and sincerity.
With the goal of making Camden greener and giving underprivileged youth access to possibilities through music bursaries and artistic workshops, KOKO founded its Foundation. An estimated 40% of Camden’s newly planted trees are a result of the environmental projects the Foundation has started so far.
It has also established a sustainable funding and employment model through a network of KOKO Foresters, or young people in the community who are paid and trained to manage and maintain the Foundation’s initiatives year-round. In the past year, the Foundation has already collaborated with several Camden estates on an inspiring rewilding initiative that has planted more than 100 trees on 11 estates and 26 nearby schools.
