We’ve seen numerous fantastic guitarists and drummers come through KISS, filling in for Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, because Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley stayed with the band through all of the lineup changes. Bruce Kulick is regarded highly by Kisstory’s fans as one of the band’s six-string idols. Kulick made five studio albums and stayed in the lineup for more than ten years.

We just had a conversation with Kulick on his tenure in the band and his approach to playing guitar. We discussed his renditions of guitar solos that Ace Frehley originally composed and recorded, among other things, and Bruce stressed the significance of honoring the original member.

Since Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley remained with KISS through all of the lineup changes, we’ve seen a number of amazing guitarists and drummers come through the band, taking Ace Frehley’s and Peter Criss’ places. Fans of Kisstory hold Bruce Kulick in high regard as one of their six-string idols. Kulick remained in the band for over a decade and produced five studio albums.

We recently spoke with Kulick on his time in the band and his guitar playing style. Bruce emphasized the importance of paying respect to the original member as we talked about his versions of guitar solos that Ace Frehley initially wrote and recorded, among other things.

Kulick recently revealed his plans to attend the Las Vegas Guitar Trade Show the following month.
