On Saturday afternoon, Newcastle United defeated Arsenal 1-0 at St. James’ Park thanks to a goal from Alexander Isak.

After barely twelve minutes, Isak leaped to his highest point to head in from a cross from Anthony Gordon. After scoring against Chelsea in the Premier League and Carabao Cup games, it was the striker’s fourth goal of the season and his third in as many days.
As Newcastle recovered from a poor run of Premier League losses, it was also Isak’s 12th goal in his past 12 games at St. James’ Park.

As part of Premier League Productions’ coverage, former Arsenal striker Ian Wright and Newcastle star Alan Shearer were present during the game. Additionally, Shearer’s response to Isak’s objective was recorded by the Premier League cameras.

The former Newcastle player, who felt that Isak’s header and Gordon’s cross were a throwback to his playing days in the 1990s, was seen on camera celebrating in front of a distraught Wright.
With the victory, Newcastle’s Premier League winless streak came to an end, and Eddie Howe’s team returned to the top half of the standings. In four games at St. James’ Park, it was the third victory over Arsenal.

Shearer later tweeted: “Everyone in a black and white shirt gave an amazing performance.”
