For its third annual Women’s Rock Camp, which will take place in Los Angeles, California, from December 5–8, 2024, the Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is thrilled to present an amazing new programming block.

Rockstar mentors Nancy Wilson (Heart), Sheila E. (previously of Prince), Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper), Lita Ford (previously of The Runaways), Rhonda Smith (previously of Jeff Beck), Eva Gardner (P!nk), Jennie Vee (Eagles of Death Metal), Julia Lage (Vixen), Moa Munoz (Olivia Rodrigo), Jennifer Oberle (Sarah McLachlan), Angie Scarpa (Black Sabbitch), Britt Lightning (Rock Camp Musical Director, Vixen), and others will be featured at the camp.

All skill levels of musicians are welcome to attend the program. Each participant receives a song list to begin practicing after being assessed in advance to make sure they are assigned to the right band.

Rehearsals, masterclasses, Q&A sessions, and jam sessions take place over the course of the four days, which finish with a live performance at the storied The Viper Room in Hollywood on the Sunset Strip.

Even though the camp’s focus is music, musical director Britt Lightning has added amazing new programming, which will include masterclasses on performance-related topics, a stagewear fashion show by musician and fashion designer Jennie Vee, a Mac Cosmetics stage makeup tutorial, and a masterclass on nutrition for touring musicians led by registered dietitian and nutritionist Ilana Muhlstein.

A discussion on the business side of the industry will also be hosted by Billboard, the event’s media sponsor. Among the panelists are Melinda Newman, Executive West Coast Editor at Billboard; Melinda Colaizzi, founder of Women Who Rock; Gibson Guitars’ Rae Vitton; Haley Cronin, curator of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; and Shira Yevin, founder and CEO of Gritty in Pink.

“Rock Fantasy Camp for women is a meaningful gathering of women together,” stated Nancy Wilson, a multi-platinum-selling performer and returning counselor who was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, in response to a Billboard interview on the camp.

I never felt limited by my gender because I was a military brat. I always enjoy the challenge of empowering women to exercise their power outside of gender norms.

The Women’s Rock Camps have been some of the most encouraging and supportive camps I have seen in my 28 years of producing the Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp, David Fishof, producer of the Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy camp, told Billboard.

Everyone leaves feeling so happy and more confident because of the way these women are able to connect and talk about anything without passing judgment. After seeing it, I concluded that stopping the yearly Women’s Rock Camps would be a disservice.
