West Virginia Injury News is Mixed Bag For Arizona Game
With West Virginia trying to get back in the win column on Saturday at Arizona, the Mountaineers will likely have to do it without some key players.
Head coach Neal Brown gave updates during his radio show on Thursday night on the status of multiple injured players, with some downgraded to “out”, some now playing, and others remaining uncertain until game time on Saturday in Tucson, which is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.

GARRETT GREENE AN WYATT MILUM: TO BE DETERMINED
Garrett Greene and left tackle Wyatt Milum are “to be determined,” according to Neal Brown. Both players suffered upper-body injuries against Kansas State and did not play in the second half vs. the Wildcats.
If Greene is out, the Mountaineers will turn to redshirt sophomore Nicco Marchiol, who has been Greene’s back up all season long. Last week, he finished 6-of-13 for 58 yards and one touchdown. On the season, he’s thrown for 80 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for 63 yards and one score.
At left tackle, Johnny Williams IV would fill in for Milum if needed.
OTHER WEST VIRGINIA INJURY NEWS
Brown also announced that cornerback Ayden Garnes, who was previously listed as questionable, has been downgraded to out for this week’s game in Tucson.
As for the good news, running back Jaheim White will be available. White has 75 carries for 416 yards this season. His best game came vs. Oklahoma State when he rushed for 158 yards and a score.
And on the defensive side, linemen T.J. Jackson and Hammond Russell IV, who both left last week’s game versus Kansas State but have practiced all week, will also be available.
