Rangers’ current team selection is intriguing from game to game due to ongoing injury concerns.

Alongside Ridvan Yilmaz, Danilo, Rabbi Matondo, and Oscar Cortes on the sidelines, two Gers players are seriously doubtful for Wednesday’s match against Aberdeen.
There is still doubt about skipper James Tavernier’s involvement from the beginning as well because he was benched for the weekend’s match against St Mirren.

This means that until the team is announced, supporters will be left in suspense about Philippe Clement’s strategy for this pivotal match.

“Huge” is what Alan Hutton makes. Rangers call James Tavernier
After playing right-back consistently for a number of years, Alan Hutton has been a supporter of giving James Tavernier more rest.

Even so, he was taken aback when the captain was benched for the victory over St. Mirren.

However, Neraysho Kasanwirjo, the replacement, wowed him with his ability to play both the attacking and defensive sides of the game.

He would be inclined to start the Feyenoord loanee against Aberdeen because of this.

When asked directly who he would choose, he responded, “I like Kasanwirjo there.” I believe you’ll need to think strategically and defensively in order to accomplish what you need up there.
In terms of defense, he is superior one-on-one. You consider the players he will be facing.

Michael Stewart, another commentator, had earlier stated that Tavernier must return to the team and that he would be “flabbergasted” if he didn’t.

When Rangers play Aberdeen, may they use a back three?

Philippe Clement now has more choices thanks to the addition of Kasanwirjo, especially as he can play center defense or full back.

Although John Souttar’s injury does alter the situation, Hutton was questioned about the prospect of starting a back three against the Dons, to allow Tavernier to come back into the side at wing-back.

He retorted: “That’s a huge shout. I’m only suggesting that you need to be wiser for a certain game. I don’t see why Kasanwirjo can’t play on Wednesday when you’re going up against players with true speed.

This is not a jab at James Tavernier; everything he has done is simply outstanding. “We need somebody a bit more defensive minded and going to be strong up against pace, this is a danger area, this is how we’re going to deal with them,” is how I used to think about some games, even while I was playing.

“We’re here for that reason, even though it’s massive. Will the management fire him, in my opinion? No, I don’t.
