As the Barcelona defender on loan fills in for Greg Taylor due to injury, Alex Valle is having a great run in the Celtic first team.

Valle, who is currently playing for one of the biggest teams in Europe at the age of 20, has already contributed to one of the greatest Champions League outcomes in the Bhoys’ history.
The young Spanish U19 international was questioned how he’s loving life at the Parkhead club and what he thought about making his temporary Celtic term permanent after Celtic’s draw with Atalanta marked his sixth appearance of the season in the green and white Hoops.

Alex Valle, who is on loan from Barcelona to Celtic, is “enjoying” his life.

At the end of this season, Alex Valle is scheduled to return to Barcelona. Although he has a two-year option, his contract with the La Liga team expires in 2026.

However, the young man acknowledges that he is enjoying life in Glasgow and at Celtic and is not now worrying about that.

“At the moment, I’m just looking forward to this season, I just go year-by-year,” Valle told the Daily Record. I have no idea what the future holds. However, I’m having fun here. This city has been fantastic for me thus far, and I adore it. I want to study as much as I can here, first and foremost.

Since I’m a young player, it’s crucial that I play as much as I can and  develop. Then, if trophies come I’ll be happy, of course. That’s what we want, everyone at Celtic, the fans and the players. It’s normal that we want to achieve that. We want to win as many trophies as we can this season.”

According to Alex Valle, playing for Celtic “is the same as playing for Barcelona.”
When asked how he is adjusting to life at Celtic, Valle, the youthful defender, acknowledges that it has been made easier by the fact that Celtic’s style of play is not all that different from the Catalan giants’
“So far, this move has been fantastic for me,” Valle added. I have complete faith in everyone at the club, including myself, my teammates, and the staff.

They have been quite helpful to me and have been very close to me. Glasgow is a great place; I truly enjoy it. Here, I’m truly content.

“I’ve been getting used to the city and the club, but it takes time, particularly given our style and style of play. It’s  different to where I’ve come from.
“So I’ve had to adapt and get better in every game. With confidence and getting minutes, I’ve been improving every week. But I still think I can do more and go even further.

Although I’m still figuring things out, my confidence is growing. Although there are certain differences, Scotland’s style of play is not entirely different from Spain’s. There is undoubtedly greater physical contact and interaction here. However, just like at Barcelona, we’re accustomed to having the ball a lot at Celtic. I am therefore reasonably at ease in that regard.
To be fair to him, Valle has seen both extremes of what it’s like to play for a major club in important games, which is why he came to Celtic.

Valle has rapidly discovered what it’s like to play for a team like Celtic against the best in Europe, from the heartbreak of Celtic’s 7-1 thrashing by Borussia Dortmund to the joy of the Bhoys’ draw with Atalanta.

For the time being, though, Celtic will travel to Fir Park to play Motherwell, where the young Spaniard will have to learn how to push himself and adjust from playing in the glitz and glitter of Bergamo to the Scottish Premiership.
