Massive singles abound in Celine Dion’s discography. Some of the greatest hits of the last few decades can be attributed to the Canadian vocal powerhouse. The singer returns with a new song after a years-long break, and it immediately rises to the top of some charts.
Last week, “Hymne L’Amour” made its debut on two charts in the United Kingdom. The song reaches a new peak in this frame, which is its second on both of the counts it featured on and continues to appear on, and it places the superstar in significant positions.
On the Official Singles Downloads chart, Dion’s cover of “Hymne L’Amour” soars from No. 81 to No. 22. The identical cut moves up the Official Singles Sales list from No. 89 to No. 23. The track currently holds the top spots on the rankings.
On the Official Singles Sales list, “Hymne L’Amour” is now Dion’s second-highest performing song. It trails only “Set My Heart on Fire,” which, despite Dion’s lack of contribution to the dance song, recognizes her as a vocalist. Just a few months ago, the tune, which features electronic producers Majestic and Jammin Kid, peaked at number eight on that list.
The song “Hymne L’Amour” is Dion’s third-loftiest appearance ever on the Official Singles Downloads chart. “Set My Heart on Fire” rose to No. 6 and is once again in the lead. Her own song, “Loved Me Back to Life,” made its debut on the chart over ten years ago and peaked at number thirteen.
On the previously mentioned ranks, Dion’s most recent single, one of her biggest hits, just barely beats one of her own solo hits. When “Hymne L’Amour” performs this time, the song “Ashes,” which was released with Deadpool 2, peaked at number 24 on the two charts.
Dion sang “Hymne L’Amour” at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She had been on vocal rest for years because of a health ailment that seemed to destroy her career, thus her performance was the high point of the games. The Grammy winner properly released the song on download stores and streaming platforms a few weeks after she performed her breathtaking rendition of the French classic from the Eiffel Tower, and it immediately became a commercial success.
