The season record for the Dallas Cowboys is 3-3. Following their humiliating 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions at home on October 13, they were granted a much-needed bye in Week 7.
On Sunday Night Football in Week 8, the Cowboys play the San Francisco 49ers in a crucial NFC matchup. Dallas has been plagued by injuries, particularly on the defensive end of the ball, but the pressure is still mounting.
EDGE Head coach Mike McCarthy gave an update on Monday morning regarding Micah Parsons, who is one of those players who makes a difference.
According to McCarthy, “He’s doing well. In reference to Parsons’ ankle issue, Micah is improving.
The Penn State product has been recuperating for the past two weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain against the New York Giants in Week 4. Since his initial schedule was week-to-week, supporters hoped Parsons would be ready for action in Week 8.
Since McCarthy’s response is so ambiguous, supporters will need to monitor the injury reports that are made public throughout the week. Parsons’ chances of playing significantly improve if he is able to practice in any way. However, he will require more time to recuperate if he doesn’t.
The 25-year-old, who has recorded 41.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles in his career, is missed on the field. Each player experiences high ankle sprains differently, but Dallas and its supporters want to reintegrate their top defensive player.
