Despite some in the media discounting the Dons’ chances against Celtic at Paradise, Brendan Rodgers has named a full-strength starting 11 against Aberdeen at Celtic Park this afternoon, indicating that the Irishman is by no means taking the match lightly.

It’s obvious why Rodgers is not taking any chances with rotation this afternoon against the nation’s second-best in-form team—Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has won 13 straight home games.
In other words, Celtic will win the game if they perform at their highest level.
But football isn’t played on paper, and the Dons’ performance isn’t to be taken lightly. A coach with much experience as Rodgers never underestimates an opponent.

From a domestic standpoint, both Aberdeen and Celtic have their hardest opponents left for the current campaign.

The fact that the Dons will show up to battle and attack Celtic is what makes the game so thrilling.

It seems like a thrilling game that everyone will enjoy and that will help promote Scottish football, which is far too frequently overlooked.

Again demonstrating his skill in team selection, Rodgers can only benefit Celtic, especially with a solid bench that includes players like Paulo Bernardo, Adam Idah, and James Forrest.
