Before suffering a concussion late in the fourth quarter on September 26 against the Dallas Cowboys, rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers last recalls a pass being thrown toward him by New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones close to the sideline.

That’s it. As the ball reached him in front of the Giants bench, Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs tackled him, sending him to the ground and striking his head on the MetLife Stadium field.

“It was quite unsettling when I couldn’t recall what had happened or the last play I had been in,” Nabers remarked on Friday, one day after passing the NFL concussion protocol. “Well, it was a little frightening.

Nabers stated that he thought he was knocked out during the play and that this was his first concussion. He had been suffering from headaches and a “throbbing in the head” for the last three weeks.

Nabers expects to participate in a game on Sunday at MetLife Stadium between the New York (2-4) and Philadelphia Eagles (3-2) for the first time since the concussion. He stated that he has previously suffered with the groin ailment that led to his addition to the injury report on Thursday.Top video game consoles

Saquon Barkley, a former running back for the Giants who signed with the Eagles as a free agent in March, will also make his comeback in this game.

Nabers suffered a concussion and missed games against Cincinnati and Seattle. After four games, he led the NFL with 35 catches. With 386 receiving yards, he presently ranks 14th in the league and is seventh in receptions.

Nabers stated that his health came first and that he wasn’t sad about the time he missed, despite his desire to play. All he wants to do this weekend is support the team.

The 21-year-old Nabers received backlash for going to a Travis Scott performance at MetLife while he was recovering.

“It’s my concern,” he declared. “What the media thinks or what they’re covering outside of this facility has no bearing on what I do, so that’s my business. I will therefore retain that in the House

Nabers said he told the Giants medical personnel he was attending the concert. He claimed he wasn’t facing the lights and that the sound was fine.

“Since the car incident, I’ve been listening to loud music,” he continued. “I turn off the lights as I leave. I use lights to play this game. I therefore lacked anything that had lights. My head was not hurting from it. I wasn’t experiencing any headaches from the sound.

Nabers’ return to routine was facilitated by the fact that he missed no meetings as a result of his concussion, according to Giants receivers coach Mike Groh, who made this announcement on Friday. Additionally, he said that coaching the sixth pick in the draft is simple.

Groh remarked, “He’s very smart and really knows the game.” “Clearly a natural athlete on the field. However, he can handle a lot of material when you work with him in the classroom, during walkthroughs, and other situations.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that cornerback Adoree Jackson is out due to a neck injury and punter Jamie Gillan (hamstring) would miss his second straight game.
