Sitili Tupouniua will sign a long-term contract with the Bulldogs beginning next season. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Roosters have offered the gun back-rower an early release and he has chosen to sign a multi-year contract elsewhere.
Tupouniua has agreed to join Canterbury for the next four years, with Angus Crichton’s recent deal at Bondi forcing him out of the club.
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce that Sitili Tupouniua has agreed to a four-year contract that will begin with the 2025 season.
Tupouniua, a skilled back-rower with 96 appearances for the Sydney Roosters, will offer a wealth of experience to the Bulldogs’ pack in 2025. The 27-year-old has three Tonga caps and is a strong attacking force in the NRL, scoring 28 tries.
Tupouniua will complete the remainder of his contract with the Sydney Roosters this season, and the Bulldogs will make no further statement until he joins us next year.
