Nottingham Forest, an English Premier League team, is reportedly in talks with New Zealand international striker Chris Wood about a new deal.
Wood (32) has 18 goals in 27 EPL outings since joining Forest from Newcastle United.
His contract is apparently set to end in the English summer of 2025, making him a free agent unless Forest agrees to a new deal with him.
Wood would be free to begin discussions with alternative clubs on January 1.
UK radio station TALKSPORT reports. Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest’s manager, is “understandably keen to tie him down.”
Wood has been in excellent form this season, scoring four goals in seven Premier League games.
The striker’s most recent goals were for the New Zealand national team, against Tahiti in the FIFA World Cup Oceania qualifier and Malaysia in an international friendly.
