Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds United, congratulated Thomas Tuchel on being selected as the next manager of England.
The former manager of Chelsea and Bayern Munich has signed to an 18-month contract to take over as England’s manager from Gareth Southgate, beginning in 2025, the Football Association confirmed on Wednesday, October 16.
While Tuchel was at Borussia Dortmund, Farke collaborated extensively with him, and the Whites manager believes the German is a “top-drawer” candidate to succeed Southgate.
During his news conference on Wednesday, October 16, he expressed his happiness and congratulated England on Thomas’s selection as a top solution.
“His resume speaks for itself; he is an exceptional coach. He has a wealth of expertise having coached Borussia Dortmund, managed PSG, overseen Chelsea, and led Bayern Munich.
“He took home the German cup and the German title.” He took home the French Cup and the French crown. He is a top-drawer option because he was the only manager to lead PSG to a Champions League final and because he had won the title with Chelsea.
“I think it’s a really good solution for that.”
How well-versed in Thomas Tuchel is Leeds United manager Daniel Farke?
Although the situation at Elland Road may worry Leeds United supporters more than what is going on internationally right now, it is great to hear Farke support Tuchel as a manager.
The manager of Whites has demonstrated that being English is not a prerequisite for success in the nation. Under his leadership, his Norwich club won several titles, and this season, his Leeds team hopes to achieve the same.
The majority of supporters will just want to see their manager succeed, whether it be at home or abroad. Hopefully, Leeds and England have a new boss who can accomplish just that.
Naturally, it will take time for Tuchel to win over every fan, just as it did for Farke at Elland Road, but if his team makes an impression on the field, supporters will quickly warm up to him.
Should he give Archie Gray a senior call-up next year, he may immediately win over most of the Leeds supporters.
In unrelated Leeds United news, following recent Red Bull developments, Jurgen Klopp has been mentioned as the Whites’ future manager.
