After defeating the Cleveland Browns 20–16, the Philadelphia Eagles are now 3-2. They trail only the Washington Commanders (4-2) in the NFC East, but their record is good enough to place them in second place.
Nick Sirianni, the head coach, was seen on tape behaving negatively with fans near the end of their victory over the Browns. After the game, he addressed it, but it wasn’t warmly welcomed. As said by our own Jordan Sigler.
The Eagles defeated one of the poorest clubs in the league with an unimpressive victory after the bye. in Cleveland crippled by the worst NFL contract in the league’s history in Deshaun Watson, the Browns are a dumpster fire this season.
The Browns, who have only won one game this season, had the Eagles tied 10-10 at the half. Sirianni believed it would be elegant to approach the bleachers and make offensive gestures to the Lincoln Financial Field crowd as Philadelphia prepared to take a knee to close the game with a 20-16 victory over a 1-5 Cleveland squad.
During his weekly Zoom call with the Philadelphia media the day after the game, Sirianni apologized for his actions on Monday, following a huge fan backlash following his post-game antics on Sunday.
He expressed regret and disappointment over the way his energy was used toward the end of the game. “What I was really doing, I was trying to bring energy yesterday, energy, enthusiasm,” he added.
Additionally, I should devote all of my energy to coaching, inspiring, and celebrating alongside our boys. I therefore need to be wiser and more discerning about when to use that energy, and that wasn’t the right moment.
In the closing seconds of the Eagles’ victory over the Browns, Sirianni was shown on the FOX broadcast yelling at the crowd at the Linc. This was likely in reaction to the jeering he had heard during the game and calls for his dismissal.
