The BBC has announced that Kylie Minogue, the global pop icon, will read a CBeebies Bedtime Story to the country this Friday, October 18, 2024, the same day she releases her brand-new album, “Tension II.”
Minogue will read the timeless classic “Goodnight Moon,” written by Margaret Wise Brown and drawn by Clement Hurd, which has lulled generations of youngsters to sleep while kids all throughout the nation get all cozy and cuddly.
The well-known fable, which was first published on September 3rd, 1947, tells the story of a young bunny who finds a peaceful bedroom and falls asleep. The rabbit bids farewell to a number of items and figures in his room as he gets ready for bed, such as a red balloon, a photograph of a cow leaping over the moon, two kittens, and the elderly woman muttering “hush.”
Children can relax before bedtime thanks to the book’s soothing environment, which is created by its beautiful pictures and straightforward, rhythmic writing. It is praised for its calming tone and recurring language, which makes it a reassuring tale for both young listeners and readers.
“It was a real pleasure to read ‘Goodnight Moon’ as my first CBeebies Bedtime Story,” the “Lights Camera Action” singer said of her role in the beloved family series. I like to say “thank you” to the rooms I’ve been in as I’m leaving, much like the bunny in the book says “goodnight” to everything familiar in their room. Dream sweet dreams!
The BBC claims that Kylie has recorded two stories for CBeebies, the details of which have not yet been made public. This is the first of those stories.
