After yet another outstanding 2024 season, Newcastle Knights NRLW fullback Tamika Upton has won the NRLW Player of the Year award.
In the ten games of the 2024 season, the Jillaroo and Queensland Origin player averaged 125 run metres, scored seven tries, and contributed thirteen try-assists.
Tamika, a constant offensive danger, led the Club to their third consecutive finals appearance, almost missing the Grand Final by one game.
Players, staff, and sponsors gathered to enjoy the season during the Knights NRLW Awards night.
Olivia Higgins received the Gladiator of the Year Award from the Once A Knight Old Boys, while Laishon Albert-Jones received the Players’ Player Award from her teammates.
Yasmin Clydsdale, the NRLW Second Rower of the Year, received the Knight in Shining Armour Award for her outstanding season.
Tenika Willison won the Club’s Rookie of the Year Award after an incredible first season, while Kayla Romaniuk won the NRLW Community Player of the Year award for her exceptional community service in 2024.
After reaching the 2024 Grand Final, the NSW Women’s Premiership team also gathered to celebrate their season.
Mel Howard and Evah McEwen won the Players’ Player Award, and Joeli Morris won the Player of the Year Award.
Tamika Upton was named the 2024 Newcastle Knights NRLW Award winner for Player of the Year.
