After a busy run of fixtures for Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic, we’re now entering another international break, but there remains plenty of interest for supporters throughout the two weeks. Not only is the manager taking his side to Sligo Rovers for a midweek friendly in Ireland, but Celtic FC Women are also embarking on their historic UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.

The Green Brigade, Bhoys and North Curve Celtic fan groups have announced their presence at the match in a dedicated section behind the goal. They’ve asked the wider support to join them in numbers. Three blocks have specifically been set aside to join in with the noise and colour that an ultras section uniquely brings.

Two of the sections are selling well so far, with hundreds of tickets sold, and there will hopefully be plenty more late purchases over the next 24 hours. This kind of backing and atmosphere can really help the Ghirls in their pursuit of victory at a new level of competition. The European run is going to be far from easy. Celtic were pot four seeds and have never experienced this tournament. Twente, Chelsea and Real Madrid all provide unprecedented danger.
