The “Liane Moriarty adaptation” is a subgenre of the “Nicole Kidman prestige TV crime thriller,” which has grown to be a distinct genre in and of itself.

Nicole Kidman’s passion for adapting Liane Moriarty’s books is perhaps greater than any of us have ever had for anything else. Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers, and the upcoming The Last Anniversary are the three that she has already completed. Additionally, Kidman and her producing partners grabbed Moriarty’s most recent book, Here One Moment, for yet another TV adaptation after it had just been on the market for a month or so.

Kidman is obviously doing the limited series thing for the game, but in this instance, it’s also out of sheer love for Liane Moriarty. (The stars are similar to your mother choosing what to read on her next trip.) The Oscar-winning actress told Deadline, “I’m so happy for the ongoing partnership with Liane and so grateful to count her among my closest friends and collaborators.”

Peacock’s Apples Never Fall and the upcoming Blake Lively movie The Husband’s Secret are two examples of Moriarty’s non-Kidman adaptations. It all comes down to a fatal flight in Here One Moment. “There won’t be any issues other than a delay. It will land safely and the flight will be smooth. Everybody who boards the aircraft will disembark. However, nearly all of them will be altered forever. The novel’s synopsis is, “Because something extraordinary happens on this ordinary, short, domestic flight” (via Deadline).”‘The Death Lady’ teaches people how and when they will die.” Later, none of the passengers or crew will remember seeing her get on the aircraft. One passenger passes away a few months later, just as she had foretold. Then, as she had predicted, two more passengers pass away. Would you act differently if you were informed that you only had a specific amount of time left to live? Would you attempt to avoid your fate? Yes, Nicole would definitely like that.
