Although Keith Urban doesn’t enjoy traditional cardio, he maintains a rigorous physical workout regimen to keep in shape. That is the purpose of the stage.

“I adore the rush of seeing a live performance. He told PEOPLE, “I adore that I get to perform two hours of intense cardio on stage.” “I’m not going to a gym to work out for two hours. I’ll accomplish it here with ease and get into absolutely fantastic form, I swear to you, but it will take forever.”

The 56-year-old Urban has long claimed that his favorite kind of cardio is playing the guitar and performing.

“I’ve got a 10-pound plank of wood around my neck, and I’m singing,” said the man. “I adore how physically demanding my work is, and how i get to do it.

On Friday, October 4, the “Messed Up As Me” singer will begin a 10-date limited engagement inside BleauLive Theater, putting his unstoppable engine on display at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Known as HIGH in Vegas in honor of his most recent album of the same name, Urban intends to mix in new songs, such as the very catchy “Chuck Taylors,” with his well-known favorites.

He praised Chuck for having the song, saying, “I love any sort of exhilarating, bristling, percolating caffeinated vibe,” and he certainly had it.

Urban revealed to PEOPLE last month that he planned to release an entirely new album in 2023.

He stated, “I scrapped another album.” “I finished an album in early 2023, 13 tracks, and decided to scrap pretty much the whole thing.”

He clarified that High is composed of just four tracks from the unreleased album.

When inquired about his thoughts regarding the previously unheard tunes, he made a jest saying, “They’re up on blocks in the front yard with grass growing around.”

The country music artist claimed that those tracks are “really good,” but it’s probable that they’ll end up on another album.

“It was just too much of the same thing,” said Urban.
