Despite her hectic schedule for the Gold Over America Tour, Simone Biles has a lot more surprises in store. She recently revealed the second installment of her Netflix documentary, Simone Biles Rising.

That “epic conclusion of the ultimate comeback” was now available for public viewing, the gymnast disclosed. Fans get a behind-the-scenes peek at how she trained for her Olympic comeback in Paris, as well as a better understanding of her relationship with Jonathan Owens, who helped her during the competition.

A few glimpses showed the Chicago Bears player encouraging her on her recovery, including some private exchanges like an embrace during training and him giving her a high five to commemorate her achievement.

The gymnast and Jonathan seem to be working out their high-profile relationship through a confessional interview in which Jonathan stated, “You wanna be the most human you can be with each other, because it’s hard being in the public eye.”
He took a special break from his preseason training with the Chicago Bears to watch Simone perform, and throughout the trailer, he was spotted on the edge of his seat.

Seen in the stands with his in-laws, Nellie and Ronald, Jonathan was sporting a t-shirt with her face plastered on it, like he was her biggest admirer.

He commented on Simone’s support: “I love watching [it] from an athlete’s perspective because that’s how you’d be great in any sport, is just being consistent and doing the same thing consistently good every day.”

“You know what I mean?,” he said. I enjoy both watching it and participating in it as a cheerleader.

Shortly after being married, Jonathan came under fire from Simone’s followers when he claimed to be a “catch” in an interview that went viral on the Pivot podcast, and he acknowledged that he had no idea who Simone was prior to their relationship.
Simone told Alex Cooper that she had personally been impacted by the remarks made by her followers, saying, “So, whenever he did that interview, I thought everything was OK.” After that, I post something on Twitter, and everyone says, “Divorce this man, he’s mean.”

He’s the sweetest, I think. He gives the earth I walk on praise. I’ve never met a man like him, truly,” she said. “I just sobbed one night and asked, ‘Why are they talking about my husband like that?'” They are unaware of him. They don’t know who he is, but if you’ve met him, you know he’s the sweetest guy ever and will stop at nothing to help someone.
