Nottingham Forest are preparing to initiate discussions with one of their players over a new deal after some impressive performances recently.

At the City Ground, Nuno Espirito Santo has been able to bring out the best in a number of players.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White are playing some of the best football of their lives, and Gibbs-White has been rewarded with another call-up to the England squad.

However, due to suspension, the former was unable to play against Fulham. The away team won all three points as a result of the strikers being starved of creativity, which proved to be deadly.

In spite of this, Forest has lost for the first time this season, so there is yet hope.

It’s interesting to note that it appears the team intends to award one of its players.

Nottingham Forest is about to begin contract negotiations with the £40,000-per-week player.
Given the players’ strong performances, it seems sense to consider who you can sign long-term contracts with to ward off potential suitors.

Late in the summer transfer window, Newcastle United made an attempt to sign Anthony Elanga.

John Percy reports that Nottingham Forest will begin contract negotiations with Ola Aina for a new agreement.

Nottingham Forest’s season to date with Ola Aina
Ola Aina joined Nottingham Forest last summer and hasn’t looked back. She makes £40,000 a week.

Over the past year, the defender has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has also had a strong start to the season, consistently creating havoc in the final third and using his pace to fight off some of the deadliest attackers.

His ability to play both left and right back adds to his versatility, which is quite important.

He is entering the prime of his career at the age of 27.
