It still doesn’t appear like Dalvin Cook will see play this week, even though the Cowboys are last in the NFL in rushing and have more time to prepare for Pittsburgh this week.

GM/owner of the Cowboys Jerry Jones responded, “probably not this week,” when questioned about Cook on 105.3 “The Fan” on Tuesday morning.

The Cowboys are averaging just 75.3 yards per game, but it appears they are not seeking to change the group that includes Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliott and Deuce Vaughn, along with fullback Hunter Luepke, who is gaining a bigger role in the offense the previous two games.

Right now, Caelen Carson is expected to be available for Sunday’s primetime Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Due to a shoulder injury sustained in the Cowboys’ Week 3 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, the rookie fifth-round pick was unable to play against the New York Giants. As a result, All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland, who is currently recuperating from an injury, was the team’s temporary replacement.

It appears that this weekend, at least one of the two might be on the field.

Executive vice president and head of player personnel Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Monday, “I think Carson has a real chance.” “I think Bland is a longer shot. We’ll see. In my opinion, [Bland] is now truly beginning to grasp the burden that Britt [Brown] is assigning him. We’ll keep an eye on his circumstances as we proceed.”

Back in August, Lamb was given one of the biggest contracts in NFL history by the Cowboys, who believed he would consistently produce big plays.

Lamb’s 55-yard touchdown in the second quarter was the longest pass play and running play of the game for the Cowboys.

Lamb became the only player on the Cowboys roster with multiple carries of 10 yards or more this season after adding a 10-yard touchdown of his own.

Lamb, though, had just one reception for four yards to end the game after registering six catches for 94 yards at the half.
