Jakub Moder’s first words after suffering ‘horrible’ knee injury as he plans Brighton comeback

Jakub Moder was nearly lost for words after suffering a “horrible” anterior cruciate ligament injury for Brighton at the weekend.
The 22-year-old fell awkwardly during Brighton’s 0-0 draw with Norwich City on Saturday and the club confirmed he would be out for a ‘significant’ period of time. Seagulls boss Graham Potter said this was a “devastating blow” for the midfielder, and wished him a speedy recovery.
Doctor of Physical Therapy Rajpal Brar, owner of 3CB Performance, told Sussex Live that this type of knee injury can take seven to nine months to recover from, potentially ruling him out of this year’s World Cup. The Polish international played his part in helping his country qualify for the tournament in November and December and now the race is on to see if he will be fit.
More than two days after the incident, Moder has taken to social media to give his thoughts on the crushing news. The former Lech Poznan star said how he had gone from a massive high to a huge low in a short period, as well as thanking fans for their support.
He posted on Instagram: “It’s hard to say something… a few days ago I had the best moments in my life and today I’ve got a horrible diagnosis and waiting for surgery. Long way ahead of me but I will do everything to get back on the pitch asap!
